2017 Sauvignon Blanc
Thriving in the cool, coastal climate of Mt Gambier these Sauvignon Blanc wines have delivered another well formed wine with a sharp, crisp acidity. This wine is both elegant and complex on the palate whilst exhibiting aromas of green grass, citrus and gooseberry.
Coola Road wines come from grapes grown on land that has been in the Ellis family for over 160 years. The vineyards lie across fractured flint beds which together with the close proximity to the Southern Ocean and low cropping levels, have enabled the wines to take on very unique mineral qualities not found anywhere else in Australia. Mount Gambier is Australia’s newest official wine appellation, and with the mainland’s coolest maritime climate, it is an area that is now being recognised for producing high quality cool climate wines.
