The conclusion of the Hobart Wine Show earlier this month saw Coola Road's 2013 Sauvignon Blanc awarded another Gold Medal! Our Sauvignon Blanc was ranked top of it's class (being, 2013 Sauvignon Blanc) above all other 71 entrants, with only 2 Gold Medals awarded for the entire group.
Held in November each year the Wrest Point Royal Hobart Wine Show is one of the most significant events on the Australian wine industry calendar. First held in 1975 it is now the second largest wine show in the country with an outstanding reputation as it showcases a wide range of high quality wines of all styles.
Our Sauvignon Blanc has again done us proud and is a testament to our very talented and passionate wine maker, John Innes.
The Limestone Coast Wine Show (LCWS) and National Cool Climate Wine Show in Bathurst both announced their results recently with Coola Road awarded a Bronze medal for our 2013 Chardonnay and a Bronze for our 2013 Sauvignon Blanc. We are all very pleased with the results, which only reiterates the fact our wines are bloody good!!
The National Cool Climate Wine Show receives over 1,000 wines each year - making it Australia's premier Cool Climate Wine Show - representing virtually all cool climate wine producing regions nationally. Equally as rewarding is our medal from the LCWS, which showcases tops wines from the Limestone Coast region. Over 400 exhibitors from Coonawarra, Mount Gambier, Mount Benson, Wrattonbully, Robe and Padthaway entered the 2013 show which saw Coola Road up against some of Australia's premier wineries.
We were thrilled to receive the news that our 2013 Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay were awarded gold and silver medals respectively at The CWSA (China Wine & Spirits Awards) recently. The CWSA is the biggest & most prestigious wine & spirits competition in China with all 100 Judges part of a selected group of importers, distributors, retailers and sommeliers’.
